The Harlequin way is like fast food.
It is not the limiting one's self to two POV's that is difficult as really limiting one's self to that POV. Few people remark on their own hair color. Nor do most people describe their living space to themselves or , in fact, think much about it unless it is time to dust or paint. I can think of the bare bones of stories but do seem to be not so good at getting them into the form the publishers want. I read many books but not as many new ones.Regencyresearcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10828749339318882968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1447996151440578956.post-32680389454155256992016-02-20T23:52:00.599-08:002016-02-20T23:52:00.599-08:00Hi Grace!

In my third person contemporaries, I write in two PoVs (heroine and hero) whereas in the Gothic romance I'm now writing, it's only the heroine's PoV (first person past). Staying constantly inside the PoV character's head, avoiding sensory words (he heard, she saw) and comments on her appearance that only an omniscient narrator would make (she can't think of the color of her hair when she's running from a murderer) is challenging, but mastering this angle has made my writing tighter and overall better.

Greetings from Greece!Maria (MM Jaye)https://www.blogger.com/profile/06796398496100494538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1447996151440578956.post-37881785106543507942016-02-20T22:43:35.762-08:002016-02-20T22:43:35.762-08:00Fabulous and thank you!
